The Kwara State House of Assembly has urged the state government to as a matter of urgency embark on complete overhaul of dilapidated class rooms, provide additional classrooms, examination halls and science

laboratories where needed across the state. The House also appealed to the government to provide all schools with adequate text books, potable water, toilets as well as embark on serious recruitment, replacement, distribution, and re-distribution of teachers across the state. These were resolutions of the House after examining and assessing the report of the House Committee on Education and Human Capital Development which paid oversight visits to some selected primary, junior and secondary schools across the state. According to the report presented by the committee chairman, Nimota Ibrahim, the committee's oversight was to check the state of infrastructure, teaching and learning processes of the schools.
