FG's Public Work: Kwara Committee Pledges Fairness In Selection Of Beneficiaries

The Kwara State Selection Committee for the Federal Government Public Work Programme, says it will ensure transparency in the selection of the 16,000 beneficiaries across the state.

The public work programme of the Federal Government was designated to provide 774,000 jobs across the 774 local governments in the country to cushion the effects of COVID- 19.

The chairman of the state's Selection Committee, Oluwasegun Oyewo gave the assurance in Ilorin during the distribution of forms to the beneficiaries.

He explained that the programme was meant for the unskilled, poor and vulnerable persons in the country.

Some of the wards visited for distribution of forms by the committee included Ogidi Ward in Ilorin West Local, Balogun Fulani Ward in Ilorin South Local Government, Sango ward in Ilorin East Local Government, Ogele community in Asa Local Government and Pake Area in Ilorin East.
