Date: 2011-11-30

Political Office Holders in the country have been charged to add value to governance and make accountability, integrity and prudence their guiding principles in the performance of their duties.
The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed gave the charge on Wednesday at the Government House, Ilorin, while inaugurating two Special Advisers, Alhaji AbdulRaheem Adedoyin and Alhaji Ahmed Makama, as Special Advisers on Communication and Strategy and Rural Development respectively.
The governor, who urged the new appointees to be exemplary in conduct and transparent in approach, said their conduct would not only impact on governance but also serve as the lenses through which his administration would be perceived.

He specifically enjoined them to make valuable contributions to the implementation of the 7-Point Agenda of his administration for the collective interest of the people of the State.
Alhaji Ahmed reinstated the commitment of his administration to the pursuance of quality education, agriculture, solid minerals development, accessible healthcare delivery, efficient energy, sustainable environment and effective security network.

While congratulating the new appointees on their well deserved appointment, he charged them to bring their past experiences and track record of achievements to bear in order to justify the confidence reposed in them.

Earlier, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold, had charged the two appointees to contribute their quotas to add value to governance and drive the policy agenda of the present administration in the State.

Responding on behalf of his colleague, the Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Alhaji AbdulRaheem Adedoyin expressed appreciation to the Governor for the honour done them and promised to justify the confidence reposed in them.
