Kwara Government Dissolves All Local Government DPMs and Treasurers
The Kwara State Government has approved the immediate dissolution of all Directors of Personnel Management (DPMs) and local government treasurers across the 16 local government areas of the state, DAILY POST reports.
The directive was issued in a circular dated October 13, 2025, by the Kwara State Local Government Service Commission and signed by Mallam R. D. Mustapha on behalf of the commission's chairman.
According to the circular, the affected officers are to hand over immediately to the Heads of Departments (Administration) and accountants in their respective local government councils.
"This temporary arrangement will remain in place pending the appointment of substantive Directors of Personnel Management and treasurers," the circular added.
