Kwara PDP reads riot act to appointees
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kwara State Chapter, yesterday warned all appointed liaison officers and youth employment coordinators in all the 16 local government areas to rededicate themselves to their official responsibilities or be relieved of their positions.
The party also declared that regular participation of members in party activities would be condition for retaining positions and getting political offices.
The order was given at a meeting attended by the State Executive Committee, elders and party stalwarts held at the party’s secretariat in Ilorin.
The meeting also maintained that all political office holders must connect with their various constituencies at all times and ensure regular attendance of ward meetings and general meetings in their areas.
Speaking at the meeting, the state political leader, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki, urged both the liaison officers and youth employment coordinators to sit up and be alive to their responsibility and have constant link with the people in their various localities.
