Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Dr Ali Ahmad has congratulated the Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki on his conferment as the new Waziri Ngeri of the Ilorin Emirate by his Royal Highness, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.

Dr Ali Ahmad A congratulatory message issued by the speaker's Special Assistant on Media, Shuaib Abdulkadir described the chieftaincy title as a worthy one and well-deserved.

Ahmad said, without doubt, the Senate President's recognition by the Emir of Ilorin as the 4th Waziri of the Emirate is a testimony of his overall contributions to the growth and development of the Ancient City.

He added that the conferment which was coming on the heels of his recent victory at the Supreme Court shows that Saraki's leadership qualities is acknowledged by his people and others within and outside the shores of the country.

The Speaker appreciated the traditional ruler for deeming it worthy to confer the prestigious traditional title on Senator Bukola Saraki, noting that it would further spur the Senate President to do more, not only for Ilorin but the state as a whole.

According to him, "Over the years, people have come to realise how much the Senate President endeared Ilorin to his heart. He holds the city's progress in high esteem and has never failed to utilise everything within his reach for the growth and development of the Emirate.

"There is no doubt that he will live to his billing as an individual who always crave for community development. He has time without number offered himself for community services. Therefore, such prestigious traditional title will push him to do more for the Emirate."

Ahmad prayed Allah in His Infinite mercy to continue providing the wisdom required and wherewithal to enable the Senate President succeed in the new task of community development.
