Kwara Governor Swears in Special Advisers

Date: 2018-06-27

Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed on Wednesday, swore in nine Special Advisers with a charge on them to synergize with members of the State Executive Council and establish good working relationship with other organs of government.

Speaking at the ceremony, which held at the council chamber of the Government House, Ilorin, ahead of the State Executive Council Meeting, Alhaji Ahmed said the appointment of the advisers demonstrates his administration's determination to put in place a stronger machinery which will assist in meeting the aspirations of the people.

He further added that the appointments are premised on professionalism, merit, and experience which, he said, would help accelerate government business.

Alhaji Ahmed urged the appointees to bring to bear their wealth of experience to complement the pace at which the government is pursuing its various programmes.

Responding on behalf of the Special Advisers, Prince Tunji Moronfoye thanked the governor for finding them worthy to serve and assured that they would justify the confidence reposed in them.

He added that the advisers would contribute their quota to the development of the state and ensure that the legacy of the Ahmed-led administration is safeguarded.

The newly sworn in special advisers and their portfolios are Mallam Aliyu Mohammed Salihu; Chieftaincy Affairs, Alh Amusa Bello; security, Hon. Bello Tunde Emmanuel; Budget Monitoring, and Mallam Rasaki Akanbi Jimoh; Emergency and Relief services.
