The Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt Hon Sulaimon Lasun Yussuff, is billed to deliver a lecture at the 17th edition of the Media Parliament of Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) holding in Ilorin on Saturday.

He is to speak on the topic "Challenges of Lawmaking and The Delivery of Dividends of Democracy in Nigeria".

The lecture is scheduled to hold at the NUJ Press Centre, Offa Road, GRA, Ilorin by 11 am.

A joint statement issued by the Chairman of the state council of NUJ, Comrade Abiodun Abdulkareem and Secretary, 2016 NUJ Press Week Committee, Mr Ahmed Abdullateef, said the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Dr Ali Ahmad, and other top government functionaries are expected to grace the occasion.

According to the statement, Media parliament is a forum to interact with the top rated media practitioners in Kwara state.

It added that the forum was principally aimed at informing, enlightening and educating Nigerians on issues of national development.

It noted that the forum was also designed to achieve policy implementation, assessment and evaluation in various sectors of the nation's economy among others.
