The stated this in a statement issued in Ilorin yesterday stressing that the decision became pertinent due to the desire to fashion out measure that will serve as platform for promoting the cultural heritage of the Ilorin heritage which is the Holy Quran.

The members of the committee are;' Alhaji Ayo Garba (Chairman), Alhaji Muhammad Sebutu, Alhaji Saheed Alaya, Alhaji Sulaiman Kawu, Mallam Omomeji Atere, Mallam Ahmed Imam, Mallam Ibrahim Sekoni, Mallam Abdulhameed Jimba, Mallam Yusuf Abdulwahab, Alhaji Toyin Makana, Alhaji Idris Danmaigoro and Alhaji Shehu Oniyangi.

Others according to the statement include; Mallam Abdullahi Alli, Mallam Malik Olokoto, Mallam Toyin Olatunji, Mallam Sulaiman Onigbari, Engr. Zubair Oloruntoyin, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Olomoda and Alhaji Jimoh Garba.

According to the emir, "The committee is expected to create time and network among the people of the community in order to achieve the motive behind their appointment. Members of the committee are also expected to be committed to the service of the community as part of faith and not to disappoint the Emirate by ensuring that this year's celebration is also successful."

Alhaji sulu-Gambari however urged indigenes of the Ilorin emirate to support the committee in its mandate to create platform of unity, growth and progress for the community throughout the fasting period.

In his response, the Chairman of the Committee, Alhaji Ayo Garba pledged the readiness of the committee to deliver on the mandate given to them by the monarch stressing that the Ilorin Emirate should not expect less this year.
