Members of the Freedom Group, Friday demanded the implementation of the zoning arrangement that will see the emergence of a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate from the southern senatorial district of Kwara State.

Addressing newsmen in Ilorin, the state capital, chairman of the group, Alhaji Kunle Sulyman, said the group’s decision was based on the need to ensure real justice in the sharing of political offices in the state, and condemned the alleged attempt by some members of the party from the central senatorial district to dominate affairs of the state

Sulyman, who is pioneer chairman of the party in the state, asked PDP leaders to take a cue from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), which has decided to retain the governorship ticket to the southern district, alleging that some  party leaders had misinformed the party’s national secretariat and the presidency that where the candidate comes from would not affect the voting pattern next year.
