DPR seals four filling stations in IIorin

The Department of Petroleum Resources in Kwara on Wednesday sealed another four fuel stations for selling petrol (PMS) above official pump price and under dispensing.

The Controller of DPR in Kwara, Mr. Amos Jokodola, ordered the closure of the four stations when he led some officials of the department for an unscheduled visit.

Royal Times reports that the closure affected both major and independent marketers.

The sealed stations were Rim Ramwat Interbiz Limited along Jebba road, Zango, IIorin for selling petrol at N110 per litre and CornOil Nigeria Limited along Muritala Mohammed road, IIorin for under dispensing of petrol.

Others were Jason and Jethro limited along Agba Dam road, Gaa Akanbi, IIorin for dispensing Petrol at N110 per litre and Siper Moon Oil Limited along Muritala Mohammed road, IIorin for selling petrol at N105 per litre.

The DPR Controller, who described the action of the dealers of the affected four stations as economic sabotage which will not be tolerated by the Department, warned owners of filling stations in the state to desist from sharp practices and cheating of the innocent buyers.
