APC urges members to shun violent politics.

The chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Alhaji Ishola Balogun Fulani has urged party members to shun the violent politics been orchestrated by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

Fulani who spoke at the inaugural meeting with the party’s chairmen from the 16 local governments in Kwara State held at the party secretariat, Ilorin equally charged the chairmen to work hard for the victory of the party in 2015 elections.

In a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari and signed by Fulani, the party boss said the PDP has rich documentation of violence in Kwara State and enjoined APC members to shun violence even in the face of temptation and provocation.

While reiterating that the APC is about the genuine development of Kwara State and her people, Fulani harped on the need for the Chairmen to ensure the unity of party members at the grassroots. 

A 17-man committee on electoral and political matters was also inaugurated by the Fulani with Hon Abubakar Mohammed Suka Baba as Chairman.

Other members include Hajia Musilimat Ibrahim, Alhaji Hassan Gegele, Alhaji S.O. Yusuf, Alhaji Moshood Adebimpe, Alhaji Tajudeen Raji, Hajia Ramat Ibrahim, Hon Niyi Fadumila and Alhaji Abdullahi Abubakar.

Others are Alhaji Salaudeen Jimoh, Issa Jimoh Adara, Hajia Rakiat Muhammed, Hon Tele Abifarin, Alhaji Taiye Eleja, Alhaji Saliu Mohammed, Alhaja Akanke Oyelowo and Hon Idris Buko.

Meanwhile, the Association of non-indigenes in Kwara State has declared support for Senator Bukola Saraki.

The group in their large number which was received by the Director General of Mandate, Alh Musa Ayinla Yeketi at the mandate constituency office said the body is continuously in support of Senator Bukola Saraki’s leadership.

Speaking through a representative, Mrs. Lawrence Egbule, the group said the PDP in the state has been lobbying for their support which it had rejected before the open declaration.
