Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), Challenge Business Unit, Ilorin, Kwara State, has established  new service unit so as to boost power supply  to its numerous consumers.

In a statement issued in Ilorin by the IBEDC signed by the company Public Relations Officer, Mr. Amola Oladapo, said that the development would also create confidence and commitment in the quest to serve the consumers adequately and sufficiently.

According to the statement, "the new service unit is to be named Irewolede and its to be headed by Engineer B. Bello and Mr. A. Abaya as the service manager.

The statement said: "The purpose of creating this service unit is to bring our services closer to our various customers at Irewolede, Asa Dam, Baba ode, Ita Elepa, Oshin, Mandate, Dangote Area, Osere and Cemetery Area of Ilorin"

The statement added that the company appealed to the consumers to pay their electricity bills as urgent as possible so as to enable the company to move forward.

Meanwhile, electricity users in the business unit have been urged to embrace Credit Advance Payment for Metering Implementation (CAPMI).

"New and existing customers who intend to take part in this scheme are expected to complete the application for electricity supply and agreement form (IBEDC74) which must be duly signed and stamped by a licensed electrical contractor before payment," the statement said, adding that application forms can be obtained free of charge.
