Kwara defeated Edo by 5-4 penalties in one of the semi finals after the match ended 1-1 at regulation time while Kaduna beat Bauchi 2-1 in the second semi finals.

Organisers said yesterday that the final scheduled for Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium would be attended by Sports Minister, Dr. Tamuno Danagogo and Edo State Commissioner for Sports, Chris Okaeben, while Oba of Benin and President of YSFON, Nasiru Gawuna would be Royal Father of the Day and host respectively.

Meanwhile, YSFON boss, Nasiru Gawuna has commended the participating teams in the week- long championship for exhibiting good sportsmanship, even as he charged the finalists to sustain the federation's image with fair play.

"I am happy that the states have played according to the rules which YSFON is noted for," Gawuna said, adding "I would like to see the finalists maintain the discipline that has been our hallmark since inception of the federation."
