ABS FC, Best Club in Nigeria - Salihu
Abubakar Bukola saraki FC has been described as the best managed club in Nigeria in terms of professionalism and good vision for the development of soccer.
A member of the League management Committee (LMC) and Chief Operation Officer of the League body, Alhaji Salihu Abubakar stated this on Friday in Abuja during the official draw for the 2012/2013 Nigeria Premier League season which is expected to kick off on March 9.
Abubakar, who was former Secretary of the then Pro-League department of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), said that the style of management of ABS FC is a shining example for other clubs to emulate.
He praised the club's management for their professionalism in the administration of the game even as he urged them to keep it up.
It would be recalled that ABS FC remains the only privately owned club in the NPL, made up of youthful footballers and recently introduced a 25-man squad, operating a functional secretariat, functional club website and have its replica jersey across the country for sale. It is the only club not indebted to any coach or player.
Meanwhile, the club's General Manager told journalists in Abuja that the management of the club is working tirelessly to achieve the vision of the proprietor of the club, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki (CON) by making the club a brand for other club's to emulate.
