The people of Kwara State have continued to throng into the Ilorin residence of the newly appointed Director-General of Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), Mallam Ishaq Moddibo Kawu, to congratulate him. The people have also hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for the appointment and prayed God guidance and direction for the APC-led administration.

One of such groups is the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) and members of the Kawu family from Ikokoro compound in Ilorin. In a letter of congratulation to their son, Head of Ikokoro family, Alh. Saadu A. Aluko congratulated Kawu and prayed for a successful tenure at the NBC.

The family, on behalf of people of the state, also thanked Buhari for the appointment and Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Alh. Lai Muhammed for his support of the appointment.

They prayed to Almighty to give the president good health, wisdom and strength to enable him pilot the affairs of the nation to a greater height. The IEYDA, led by its President, Mr. Abdullahi B. Salau pray for God guidance for Kawu in the discharge of his duty.
