Kwara 2015: Community in Kwara endorse Ahmed, Saraki, Atunwa, Segilola
Elders and Youths of Gerewu and Daudu community in Ilorin West local government area of Kwara state have unanimously endorsed Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, Senator Abubakar Saraki, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, Kwara State House of Assembly Speaker, Abdulrasaq Atunwa and Honorable Segilola Abdulkadir as their choice for the forthcoming 2015 general elections.
The leaders of the two communities, Magaji Gerewu, Alh. Amosa Ayelagbe and Magaji Daudu, represented by Alh. Isiaka Amao, said the choice for re-election of Ahmed, Saraki and Segilola for second term was based on merit.
Speaking at the event, the leader of Gerewu community Alhaji Amosa Ayelagbe said the leadership of APC had performed tremendously for the development of the state, adding that the APC's administration had also impacted in the lives of the people.
Saying that this endorsement for the re-election of the aspirants is for continuity that will enhance the economy and socio-development in the State. He also stressed the need for more rural developments in their communities.
Also he urged the Youths to shun differences and embrace the vision of APC leadership in the state in order to move the state forward, noting that there is need for an expedient sacrifice and understanding to move the state forward.
Appreciating the people of the community, Honorable Segilola Abdulkadir, called on the good people of the communities to continue to support the leadership of Sen. Bukola Saraki and to cast their votes for APC in the forthcoming general elections.
She said any vote for APC will be for peace, unity and continued development of the state and drive the nation to a greater height.
Segilola, who is a legislator also the Chairman House Committee on Commerce, Industry and Women Affairs, Kwara State House of Assembly, gave the charge in Ilorin during a courtesy visit and to seek the support of the citizens of the communities towards her re-election in the forthcoming 2015 general elections.
She said: "What we need in our state today is continuity that will consolidate on the gains we've made. The governor is driving the economy of the state, particularly in the face of dwindling revenue from the federal government".
"It is obvious that only an APC government can guarantee equality for our people resident here. Only APC can develop the country without any religious, political or ethnic bias.
She said as a legislator, she will make sure that they benefit more from rural developmental projects.
