PDP Condemns ACN violence
If at any point in time Mr. Belgore is aggrieved for whatever is the outcome of the election result arising from the National Assembly Election that was conducted on Saturday, April 9, 2011, the best option for him is to go to the court, which is the most appropriate place to seek redress.
Similarly the PDP wishes to appeal to all political parties contesting the 2011 general elections especially the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) to accept defeat in good faith in the interest of democracy.
The PDP in the State maintained that election is all about winning and losing and therefore enjoined all political parties to accept whatever is the outcome of the election in good faith in order to forge ahead.
The party (ACN) should stop alleging votes stealing in an election that Nigerian citizens across the country and the International Community regarded as free and fair. One wondered that once ACN losses election, it is then such election is not credible but if it wins it is a credible election, what a paradox?
The party and its members are warned not to forment trouble in the state as their reaction shows that the party was not ready to develop the state.
By this allegation, it is our view in the PDP that ACN members in the State were not ready for an enduring democracy and Kwarans would resist any form of violence from ACN or their collaborators because our state is a state of harmony.
However, the party and its members are hereby warned not to forment any trouble in the State as the party’s reaction shows that its members were not ready to join hands with the State Governor, Dr Bukola Saraki to develop the State.
Kwara State belongs to all of us; we have no other State that we can call ours, so let us all join hands to build it together in the interest of our children and the future generations.
We therefore call on all Kwarans to resist and reject impostors and trouble makers whose concern was not to develop the State but to forment trouble and cause disaffection among its diverse people.
