Ajibola promises to overhaul economic status of Kwara
He told mammoth crowd that "If voted in, the incoming PDP government will implement free education at all levels for Kwarans stressing that "in the youths lies the strength of a nation. "
Ajibola stated this on Sunday during his campaign tour to Moro local government area of the state. Villages visited by the campaign team are Arobadi, Maigida, Malete, Elemere, Shao among others.
The PDP candidate also assured the people of the state of all -inclusive administration noting that "The era of slavery is over. PDP will provide youth empowerment, job creation, provision of road network, construction and rehabilitation of infrastructural facilities, provision of basic healthcare , women empowerment and farmers' oriented programmes.
He however lamented over slow ?pace of development in the state under the APC-led government especially in Moro local government area which has been tagged as abandoned zone due to lack of government's presence therein.
?Earlier, a party elder in Malete, Mallam Ahmed Yusuf, in his address expressed confidence that the entire Moro will massively vote PDP in all elections adding that
"Be informed that we are committed and loyal to PDP's victory at all levels." ?Mallam Yusuf who highlighted poor road network, lack of adequate healthcare facilities, dilapidated classrooms, poor staffing of primary schools, high cost of KWASU tuition fees unaffordable for indigenes , lack of adequate water resources, poor electricity supply as some of the problems? confronting the area.
He said: "?The presence of KWASU in our area should be a great blessing but reverse is apparently the case because the required provision for catchment area benefits are totally ignored. It is saddening to note that none of Moro indigenes is on the membership of KWASU Board of Directors till date."
The PDP chieftain therefore appealed to the incoming government to note the lapses for better adjustment if emerged victorious in the forthcoming elections.
