Stone Vows to Punish Dolphins

Date: 2013-03-24

ABS attacking midfielder, Evbuomwan Stone has vowed to score his first goal this term in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) against former champions, Dolphins on Sunday.

The Saraki Boys will welcome the Port Harcourt-based club in the NPFL Matchday 3 duel at the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin.

Last season in this same tie, Stone's second half goal condemned Dolphins to a 2-0 defeat after Aminu Kadiri's 32nd second strike had earlier put the Saraki Boys on a 1-0 lead.

Interestingly, the goal was Stone's first goal ever in the Nigeria's top flight as he was a debutant last term.

The erstwhile Kwara Football Academy (KFA) apprentice is now positive of scoring again this Sunday against the experienced league campaigners, Dolphins.

“I was so happy when I scored my first career goal last season against Dolphins and I am ready to punish them again as it is a must-win game for us on Sunday,” Stone revealed to supersport.com in Ilorin.

The 18-year-old, who netted thrice last term, has now set up a minimum of 10 goals for himself in this season's campaign.

“Last season was so tough as I could only score three goals, but this term, I want to score 10 goals for my club (ABS),” he stressed.

ABS have taken just one point from two games played so far.
