NUT Kwara Appeals to Governor AbdulRazaq to Approve 27.5% and 21% Teachers' Allowances
The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Kwara State Chapter, has formally appealed to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to approve the long-standing demands for 27.5% and 21% Teachers Specific Allowances (TSA) without alteration or delay.
In a letter dated 10th September 2025 (Ref: NUT/KWSN/GH/004/VOL 4/60), signed by State Chairman Comrade Yusuf Wahab Agboola and Deputy Secretary General Moni Mike Modesty Itua, the union urged the governor to use his executive authority to implement the allowances promptly.
The appeal, made available to journalists in Ilorin, stressed that timely approval would help maintain industrial peace and preserve the cordial relationship between the state government and public school teachers.
The union reiterated its confidence in the governor's leadership, noting that "a stitch in time saves nine," and called for immediate action on the two unresolved welfare issues.
