ABS FC Appoints Yusuf Salihu as Head Coach for 2025-26 NNL Season

Date: 2025-09-10

Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club (ABS FC) has announced the appointment of Yusuf Salihu as their new head coach for the 2025-26 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

The Ilorin-based club unveiled Salihu at a brief ceremony held at the Taiwo Awoniyi Media Sports Centre, Kwara SWAN Secretariat, George Innih Stadium, Ilorin.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity, Salihu outlined his vision for the team, emphasising unity and collective effort.

"Football is teamwork, and that's why it remains a collective game. I can't do it alone. With unity, commitment, and the support of the management and stakeholders, we will succeed," Salihu stated during his unveiling.

He takes over from Cameroonian-born tactician Encho Anthony, who departed at the end of the 2024-25 season after the club failed to qualify for the NNL playoffs.

Salihu's appointment marks the beginning of a rebuilding phase aimed at restoring competitiveness and driving the club toward promotion contention.
