Kwara Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Announces N8.5 Million Fee for 2026 Hajj

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has officially commenced the sale of application forms and payment collection for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage, with a total fee set at N8.5 million.

Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji AbdulSalam Abdulkadir, made the announcement while responding to journalists' questions in Ilorin, the state capital.

He revealed that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) set the cost and has allocated 3,762 slots to Kwara State for the 2026 pilgrimage.

Alhaji Abdulkadir outlined the requirements for intending pilgrims, stressing the need for a valid international passport and timely completion of all registration procedures before the official deadline.

The Board has urged applicants to use only verified channels to avoid falling victim to fraud.

He disclosed that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the initial deposit of 5Million Naira for residents of the State wishing to partake in the exercise. They are required to balance up before 8th October, 2025, which is the deadline for payment.

Alhaji Abdulkadir expressed gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his efforts to ensure that every intending pilgrim from the State has a comfortable and spiritually fulfilling experience both in Kwara and during their time in Saudi Arabia.
