Kwara Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Opens 2026 Hajj Form Sales at N8.5 Million
The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has officially commenced the sale of forms and collection of payments for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.
Announcing this in Ilorin, the state capital, Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji AbdulSalam Abdulkadir, revealed that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has set the total cost for the pilgrimage at N8.5 million.
He disclosed that NAHCON has allocated 3,762 slots to Kwara State for the 2026 Hajj.
Alhaji Abdulkadir urged intending pilgrims to begin the process early and meet all requirements, including possession of a valid international passport and completion of all documentation before the deadline.
The Board has also advised applicants to ensure they engage only official channels to avoid fraud.
He disclosed that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the initial deposit of 5Million Naira for residents of the State wishing to partake in the exercise. They are required to balance up before 8th October, 2025, which is the deadline for payment.
Alhaji Abdulkadir expressed gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his efforts to ensure that intending pilgrims from the State have comfortable and spiritually fulfilling experience both in Kwara and during their sojourn in Saudi Arabia.
