Kwara State Government Unveils Prototype of N240 Million Ultramodern Shonga ICT Hub

Date: 2025-01-21

The Kwara State Government has unveiled the prototype of the N240 million Ultramodern Shonga Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) hub, currently under construction in Shonga, Edu Local Government Area of the state.

The multimillion-naira project, awarded to Skylat-One Nigeria Ltd., led by Adeboyega Akinwumi, is one of several legacy projects of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. The state government plans to release prototypes of these projects as their construction progresses.

Completing the state-of-the-art Shonga ICT hub wouldn't only enhance the educational system in the Edu Local Government Area but also significantly impact the local economy and create job opportunities for the people of Shonga and their neighbouring communities.

The announcement of the commencement of the #240 million Shonga ICT came less than a month after His Excellency Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq pledged to expedite the completion of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) tech hub at its 2024 annual conference.

Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has been receiving commendations from sons and daughters of the State of Harmony for his several developmental projects in the state and meaningful contributions to the IEDPU tech hub and recently awarded Shonga ICT hub.
