Kwara PDP Distance Self From Unauthorised Online Portal
According to a news report from New Telegraph, the Kwara State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has distanced itself from an unauthorised online portal circulating on social media.
In a statement signed by the State Party's Publicity Secretary, Mr. Olusegun Olusola Adewara, and made available to journalists in Ilorin, the state capital, the party clarified that the online portal, https://kwarapdp.com.ng, which has been asking Kwarans to register as members through an electronically guided form, is not sanctioned by the PDP. The party warned the public against engaging with the portal.
He added that “the leadership of the party has not authorised any electronic platform except for the official WhatsApp channel, which was publicly communicated in our press release of May 27, 2024.
“For the records, the Kwara PDP has not authorised any website in its name, nor has it commenced the proposed online registration of members,” the statement said.
It added that the party would adequately and officially inform the public through its relevant organs once it was ready for such an endeavour.
“We therefore caution all PDP members, supporters, and the general public not to patronize any online registration portal set up with unknown motives by fifth columnists.”
