The National President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union(IEDPU),Alhaji Aliyu Otta Uthman, fsi,has sympathised with a former Nigeria's Permanent Representative to the ECOWAS Commission,Ambassador Babatunde Ayinla Nurudeen, on the death of his mother,Alhaja Rukayat Agbeke Nurudeen.

In a statement signed on his behalf by the Union's Spokesman, Abubakar Imam, Alhaji Uthman said that the Union received the news of the late Alhaja Nurudeen with shock.

The statement described the late Alhaja Nurudeen as a role model and an exemplary woman blessed with fine characters and someone who contributed most significantly to the development of her community in several positive ways.

Alhaji Uthman said that the IEDPU was pained with the transition of Alhaja Nurudeen to the great beyond at this point in time,saying that she died at a time when her wisdom and prayers were more needed not only by her children but also by the entire Ilorin Emirate community.

The Union,however,urged Ambassador Nurudeen to take consolation in the fact that his mother not only lived long but also lived an exemplary life,which was dedicated to the services of Allah and humanity.

While wishing Ambassador Nurudeen and his siblings as well as other relations and her immediate community the fortitude to bear the demise of the late Matriarch,Alhaji Uthman prayed Allah to grant the deceased Al-Janah fridaouz.
