Ex- PDP Chief, Kamil, 1,200 Stalwarts In Kwara South Express Support For Saraki

Date: 2018-08-11

A former member of Kwara Peoples Democratic Party's caretaker committee, Hon. Idris Kamil(aka Akaso) and about 1,200 members of the party from Kwara south, have expressed their support for the Senate Leader, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki.

Kamil told newsmen in Ilorin today that himself and other members of his caucus scattered across the seven local government area of the state have accepted Saraki as the national leader of the PDP.

He said their decision to warmly welcome the Senate President back to the fold of the PDP was borne out of genuine interest for the growth and development of Kwara state and its people.

The Erin- Ile born politician who was flanked by Mr Olayiwola Jimoh (aka Tinubu) said Saraki has used his good office as Senate President to attract development to the state, empower the youths and women through his numerous intervention schemes.

He posited that Saraki will be in a better stead to attract more development to the state, facilitate job opportunities for more youths and churn out more empowerment programmes for women when PDP eventually wrest power from the comatose All Progressives Congress( APC) and form national government in 2019

" As the national leader of the PDP, we have no doubt in our minds that Dr Bukola Saraki will use his vintage position to attract more development to our dear Kwara state in 2019 after our party, the PDP might have formed the national government, " he added.

Kamil enjoin members of the PDP across the state to join hands with Saraki, saying that the Senate President "is Kwara's ordained leader".
