The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ali Ahmad has described the death of a former Chief Judge of the state, Justice Saka Yusuf as a great loss to the judiciary, Ilorin Emirate and the entire state.
Similarly, a socio- cultural association, the Advancement Front of Alanamu Central (ADFAC, Ilorin has commiserated with the Emir of Ilorin, Alh Ibrahim Sulu- Gambari over the demise of the jurist.
The Speaker's condolence message was issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Shuaib Abdulkadir, while that if ADFAC was signed by its president, Alh Mas'ud Adebimpe.
Ahmad said that the retired judge's contributions to the judiciary could not be quantified.
He noted that the legal luminary who served as the chief judge during Dr. Bukola Saraki's administration as the state governor did not bungle the opportunity but served meritoriously and left with good legacies.
He added that as a judge, Yusuf was well respected by lawyers for his articulate judgement delivery in all cases he handled and as an incorruptible judge.
The Speaker regretted that his service delivery to the judiciary, experience, expertise and wisdom would be missed, noting that he had been a role model to several judges and Emirate sons and daughters.
The legislator recalled that as the President of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union, Yusuf led with great example and left his footprints in the sands of time with outstanding achievements.
The Speaker condoled the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim SuluGambari for the loss and prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) grant the deceased eternal rest.
The ADFAC president, Mas'ud Adebimpe in his condolence message described the demise former President of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union ,(IEDPU) as a great loss, not only to Ilorin, but the entire Kwara state.
He described Yusuf as a symbol of selfless service "whose wealth of experience is highly needed at this auspicious period of our nationhood. It's indeed a close of a chapter which all sons and daughters of Ilorin Emirate and indeed his primary constituency, the judiciary would greatly miss for a very long time to come.
"This great son Of Ilorin Emirate left an indelible mark in the sand of time as an incorruptible and a great jurist who would remain a reference point for all distinguished members of the Bar and the Bench.
"His stand point of selflessness, commitment to duty,honesty and sincerity of purpose in the discharge of service to humanity would no doubt propelled all those that passed through his tutelage to be steadfast with his principle of selflessness .
