Kwara State governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, has assured residents that the ongoing dualisation of the 9km Kulende-UITH-Oke-Ose road in Ilorin will be completed by October 2018.

Ahmed, who spoke on Monday, February 12, 2018, while inspecting the progress of work on the road, said irrespective of the dwindling resources to the state, his administration will continue to harness available resources to provide critical infrastructure that will transform the state.

Accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, Isiaka Gold, and other government officials, the governor was led by Engr Kola Shittu, the consultant handling the project.

He expressed satisfaction with the level of work done on the project and commended the contractor and consultant in charge.

The governor also assured that funding for the project will continue accordingly in line with the payment pattern of the State Infrastructure Development Fund.

Engr Shittu disclosed that the project is at 45% level of completion, adding that by June, work on the Oyun Bridge would have been completed.

He disclosed that, between the Oyun bridge and the Kwara State Polytechnic (KwaraPoly) campus, work is at the final stage of Asphalt laying.
