Kwara INEC lauds electorate for massive turnout

Date: 2017-05-08

The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), Kwara State branch has lauded the electorates for their massive turn out in the ongoing voters registration exercise in the state.

The Publicity Secretary of the commission, Barrister Jacob Ayanda told this medium yesterday that report of the registration from the 16 local governments across state was impressive.

According to him, people responded well and were enthusiastic by turning out massively to register for the exercise adding that there has been no report of any controversy.

Asked about the total number of people who have so far been registered in the exercise, Ayanda said only those that are in charge at the various local government throughout the state can give such information accurately.

He said "For now, we are still collating our data, but people have been responding well, in fact, they beat our expectations, we only want them to be more proactive so that the exercise can be concluded once and all. "Report from the 16 local governments across the state showed that we are on top of the game in Kwara state" he added.
