Niger Tornadoes striker Ismaila Gata will be available for selection in the NPFL matchday 10 clash against Sunshine Stars at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja.

The Minna outfit medics give the former Kwara United marksman a clean bill of health to start against Sunshine Stars. Gata sustained an injury in a matchday 8 clash against Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) barely 10 minutes into the game and later missed Tornadoes' clash at Abia Warriors in Umuahia which the side lost 0-1 through Chisom Chikatara 83rd- minute goal.

The Tornadoes goal king has scored four goals in eight appearances this season and stands a chance of increasing his goal tally against the Owena Waves. The newcomers are equally boosted as former Kano Pillars striker Abubakar Umar has recovered from the knock he received in a matchday 8 tie against 3SC at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja.

The biggest boost for the Minna side heading into the crunch tie against the Akure-based side is the return of defensive midfielder Kingsley Salami who featured in the last NPFL campaign in the colours of Taraba FC. Salami was excused by the club to attend to family issues after featuring in match day 1 clash at newcomers Plateau United in Jos.

The Minna-based side will go into the midweek NPFL matchday 10 clash on a high after they pipped the Feeders side to retain the state FA Cup title. Tornadoes are 13th on the 20-team top flight on 10 points from a possible 27 in the nine-week old league.
