DPR Seals 7 Filling Stations In Kwara

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in Kwara yesterday sealed seven filling stations over alleged diversion of petroleum, under dispensing and hoarding. The DPR Operation controller in the state, Mr Philips Salvation disclosed this in llorin during an interview with newsmen.

He listed the sealed filling stations as Latrau filling station along Maudi Ogundele road, Oladile filling station, OkoOlowo, Yassat petroleum, OkoOlowo and Sherif Oil and Gas at Jimba Oja.

The rest are Ayose filling station at Jimba Oja, Jossy Adeolu filling station, Oko Olowo and Wakem filling station at Oloko village in llorin which allegedly diverted 11, 000 litres of petroleum. The Operation Controller said the DPR had imposed various fines on the erring stations.

Salvation warned both major and independent petroleum marketers in the state to desist from cheating the innocent citizens. He said the department would not hesitate to revoke the licence of any filling stations which indulge in an infamous act.
