Unilorin 2015 Marathon to Hold Next Week

The 2015 edition of the Unilorin Marathon is scheduled to hold next week as part of the convocation anniversary activities. The race, which celebrates the academic stability of the school, was developed to enhance and discover sports talents among the students of Unilorin, for fun and refreshment of body and mind of the students.

According to a statement from the school, a total of 1,515 people registered for the race out of which 121 registered from other invited institutions from Kwara state, 51 Unilorin staff, 1,151 Unilorin students and 128 volunteers.

Arrangements are being made for training of all volunteers for the efficient management of the event while proper arrangements for security, traffic control and all other essentials of the race have also been concluded.

The statement also urged all participants and volunteers to check their email boxes for further instructions on how to proceed or visit the university of Ilorin marathon website.
