Our correspondent who witnessed the incident gathered that the mother of four babies, a teacher at the Second ECWA Nursery and Primary School, Amilegbe, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, was rushed into the theatre of the hospital at about 12:30 pm, a where caesarian was carried out on her.

It was reliably gathered that the pregnancy was 31 weeks old before the woman went into labour and was eventually rushed to the hospital.

Speaking with Nigerian Pilot, father of the babies, Mr. Samuel Chukwukelo said: "Though, the babies are bundle of joy but economic situation of things made it seem otherwise to me."

Chukwukelo, an electronics dealer, further said that, "We did an ultrasound of the pregnancy at about six months and the result shows that the babies are four. Since then, I have been confused before it now came to reality today.

"I am highly confused. With the situation of things, I don't think I can cope with the financial demands of the present condition of the babies and the future requirements to raise them up.

"We have gotten two children before, both of whom are girls. We only attempted to go for the third born and see whether we can get a boy during the process and see what God has done by multiplying our requests with four babies at once."

Chukwukelo therefore urged government and private individuals to come to his aids so as to help in financing the hospital bills of the bundle of joy.

Speaking with some of the staff of the hospital, Nigerian Pilot gathered while the mother is still in the ward receiving adequate medical attention, the newly born babies are at the nursery section of the UITH where they are been attended to.
