Why Kwara gov was re-elected, by APC

Date: 2015-04-15

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State said yesterday that the victory of the party in the just concluded governorship and state Assembly elections was not by chance.

The party said the victory was a testimony to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed's hard-work and doggedness. The Kwara governor dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for APC in 2013.

"It was not an easy ride or walk over, as some people would say. This victory was not obtained by luck, but the result of the governor's hard work, diligence and performance", the party said in a statement by its publicity secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari.

The party felicitated with the governor, just as it hailed people of Kwara State for their peaceful and orderly conduct throughout the electoral process.

"We salute the foresight and doggedness of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and we must emphasise that unfolding events in Nigeria and in Kwara State have shown that his decision to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) was the best he could have taken," he said.

The party assured Kwara residents of security, employment and quality education.
