Basketball: Gombe to Host National Div One league

The Gombe Sports Commission has concluded arrangements to host the 2013 National Division one league which will dunk off beginning from today to 23 December.

It is expected that two teams will be promoted to play in the new season of the Dstv Premier League dunking off early next year.

The promoted teams will replace the two demoted teams from the premiership and the affected teams will be formally announced before the start of the 2013/2014 season.

Some of the teams expected to fight for a return to premiership action include Kwara Falcons, AHIP Giants of kano,Chariots of Lagos, Benue Braves, FCT Rocks, NAF Rockets ,Civil Defence, Kano Pyramids and host Gombe Bulls.

A technical meeting is slated for today.
