Former Plateau United winger, Stanley Dimgba, is confident that Kwara United will prepare him for the next stage of his football development.

SuperSport.com learnt that Kwara United paid N1.5 million (about $10,000) for the services of the left-sided winger, who was scouted from a non-league side by Plateau United.

The youngster made his Nigeria Premier League debut with relegated Plateau United last term and has been on the radar of the Ilorin side due to his exploits.

Kwara United almost snatched Dimgba and Ajax Cape Town forward, George Akpabio during the mid-season transfer last term, but the duo eventually returned to Jos due to the refusal of Plateau United to enter into any negotiation.

Dimgba troubled the Kwara United defence when his team secured a point at Sagamu last season.

However, Kwara United made another request for the winger and Plateau United supremo, Bitrus Bewarang eventually agreed to allow Dimgba continue his football at the Ilorin side.

"It's a dream move for me," Dimgba said.

"Teams like Enyimba and Heartland wanted me, but I opted for (Kwara) United where I'll be assured of playing time as a young player.

"I'm excited with the atmosphere and the quality of players in the team. Kwara United wanted me last year, but I had to return to Jos. I can't wait to get on the field with my new teammates," he said.

Kwara United gaffer, Tunde Sanni, expressed confidence that Dimgba would boost the quality of his team.

"Dimgba is a brilliant winger," Sanni said.
