Kwara boosts power supply in Police headquarters

Date: 2013-08-09

In a bid to boost electricity supply, the Kwara State government has approved the installation of a new transformer at the Police Headquarters in Ilorin, the state capital.

The Commissioner for Energy, Tajudeen Zulu Oloje said the approval was in response to the request made by the state Commissioner of Police.

"The administration of Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed is determined to support the Police in carrying out its task effectively," Mr Oloje says.

In a statement, the Commissioner disclosed that work had already commenced at the site to facilitate the immediate restoration of electricity.

"Governor Ahmed also approved a second transformer which is being installed at the vicinity of the Police Headquarter," the statement added.
