Opinion: Time to Stop the Persistent Rain in Kwara Politics and Its Acclaimed Leadership By L. A. Kadri
"Ojotoro tioda, olorunlomo enitiopa" that was the popular melody in that popular movie "Saworoide" by that award winning movie producer "Tunde Kelani". That melody is the most suitable melody for the political activities in Kwara State.
The sky is so cloudy, accompanied by a very loud thunder strike, very windy as well as a very bright lightning threatening to rain. If the thunder persists, many mansions will fall. If they fall, it will be very difficult to rebuild, if not out rightly impossible to be rebuilt. I pray the wind stops on time, because even the wind from a fan will be treacherous to the Americans who had been hit several times by mighty wind storms. I saw the impact of the hurricane on CNN and I felt very sorry for the Americans. The rain is mostly regarded as a blessing to the earth however it could also be regarded as a curse when it results in flood. Because when it floods, both the good and bad will certainly get washed away. Indeed no one wants to be a flood victim!!!!!! Persistent lightning will surely reveal many hidden skeletons in the cupboard.
As much as it is a wise saying that "olowo lagba" it is also important to remember the other version of the wise saying which says "ti omode balaso biagba kolelakisa bi abga". This I expect that loyalist of Bukola Saraki will echo to his hearing, that is if he will give them the sense of belonging, talk more of letting them tell him the reality. Elder so they call him but I am of the opinion that one must attain puberty to claim maturity, as well as it is pertinent that one have to be pregnant to bare a baby, can't really tell if the acclaimed Elder has attained any of the important qualities to earn such high esteemed status. It is very normal to be a loyalist but being a sheepish loyalist is what I vehemently object to. Kwarans please 'wise up' you can do better without a "godson" because I can't see him to worth being called a godfather.
Let there be a bright lightning in Kwara, I bet that Kwarans will see the unseen skeleton in their cupboards!!!!!Let there be thunder strike they will hear the unheard!!!!!!While our people were busy chanting Elder, it may be to your dismay that many fishes had passed under the river. When he became a professor you were no body "an undisputable fact". Though an unsolicited advice but a reality that awaits others who still sees' Bukola Saraki as a godson. It is Professor Oba's turn today it could be yours tomorrow, so if I were you I will opt out today and stand clean before a mate to my son will rubbish me in the public, because the fact is "Ojotoro tioda olorunlomo enitiopa".
"Ojotoro tioda olorunlomo enitiopa". Baba Saraki's rain fell on our grandparents; it also fell on our parents as well as on us!!! Bukola Sarakis' rain is presently falling on our parents as much as it is falling on us!!!! It is in our interest to stop the rain as quick as possible else the rain will generate into a flood which is likely to flush us away. I have tried but could not imagine what it will seem like if Bukola Saraki is allowed to transfer the clout (to let it rain on us) to his children…..ooooooh!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't it obvious? They will spit on us , urinate on us, this situation is "res ipsalocuta" . "Ojotoro tioda olorun lomo enitiopa" let's stop the rain, this is the right time and collectively we can.
