Kwara Plumbers Embark on Free Repairs of Water Pipes

Date: 2013-05-14

The Kwara State Chapter of the Association of Plumber Contractors will on Wednesday flag-off the second phase of its free repair of burst public water supply pipes across the state following the first phase which held last month.

Making the disclosure in an interview, President of the Kwara State Chapter of the Association of Plumber Contractors, Comrade Clement Ojoorire said its members will carry out the repairs on Wednesday and Thursday this week across the state in partnership with the Kwara State Water Corporation at no cost to the state government.

"The free repair is our association's contribution to the government efforts to provide good water supply to the people especially in view of the laudable achievements of the state government in the area of water supply since its inception. Burst pipes can affect water supply and reduce the impact of government efforts in this regard, so we are doing this to support the Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed administration".

Comrade Ojoorire pledged that the association's more than 1000 members across the state will sustain the repair work throughout the tenure of the present administration in the state.
