NYCN Lauds KWSG on Labour

As workers mark this year May Day this week, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has commended peaceful relationship between the Kwara State Government and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in the state.

NYCN in a statement signed by the state chairman, Comrade Kazeem Adekanye and PRO Comrade Osasona Kehinde, observed that in other states labour union are usually at the logger-head with the governments over salaries and allowances but NLC in Kwara State adopts dialogue and negotiation to press home their demands.

The council said it believes that with maturity and polite way of pressing home the workers’ demands, NLC in Kwara has achieved what others could not attain.

The statement lauded vibrant working force constituted largely by Nigerian youths, calling on both state and federal government to continue to look into their welfare.

NYCN urged the state government to resuscitate all ailing industries and establish new ones to boost employment opportunity for teeming youths.
