Labour Harps on Human Capital Development in Kwara

Date: 2013-05-02

The NLC, Kwara State Council, Wednesday urged political leaders at all levels to work and promote the development of their people in order to secure the future of the country.

The state chairman of NLC, who made the disclosure while speaking during the May Day celebrations, also noted that it is only when the development of the people is given priority that the nation will be at ease.

According to him, “The removal of the high tax regime from the workers is a commendable exercise,” adding that the continued prudent management of resources by the Kwara State Government was a clear indication that the future is bright for the people.

He also commended the prompt payment of salary and wages of workers by the state government, adding that the gesture would go a long way in assisting the workers.
