Governor AbdulRazaq Mourns The Sun Correspondent Lai Olarewaju at 69
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed shock over the death of Lai Olarewaju, the Kwara State correspondent of The Sun Newspaper, who passed away on Friday at the age of 69.
The governor extended his condolences to the Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Correspondents' Chapel once chaired by the deceased, The Sun newspaper, and the immediate family of the late journalist.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, AbdulRazaq described Olarewaju as a seasoned journalist and dedicated media unionist whose legacy reflected decades of professional excellence and steadfast commitment to the welfare of colleagues.
He prayed for divine comfort for the bereaved family and asked that God grant the deceased eternal rest.
