APC Elders' Caucus Coordinator Hails AbdulRazaq as Gamemaster at 66
The Coordinator of the Kwara Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders' Caucus, Alhaji Razaq Lawal, has described the state governor as a gamemaster who remains firmly in control of political and governance matters.
In a congratulatory message marking the governor's 66th birthday, Lawal, a former Commissioner for Special Duties in the state, stated that despite distractions from opposition elements, Governor AbdulRazaq has stayed focused on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Kwara State.
Lawal expressed satisfaction that the governor has sustained stability within the ruling APC in the state, much to the dismay of his political rivals.
He added that the large number of aspirants seeking APC tickets for various political positions at both state and national levels is a reflection of the stability the governor has entrenched within the party.
He also commended the working relationship between the governor and the Presidency, noting that the synergy has resulted in significant infrastructural development across the state.
Lawal described the ongoing extensive road construction, as well as health and education projects throughout the state, as unprecedented in Kwara's history.
He further praised the governor for restoring peace to parts of Kwara North and Kwara South, which has led to the reopening of schools across the state.
The APC chieftain equally lauded AbdulRazaq for prioritising the welfare of state and local government workers, as well as pensioners, through the consistent and timely payment of salaries and pensions.
According to him, the regular disbursement of salaries and pensions has had a positive impact on the state's economy and the overall socio-economic wellbeing of residents.
Lawal stated that history would remember Governor AbdulRazaq as a disciplined and prudent leader who utilised government resources strictly for their intended purposes and in the best interest of the people.
