Kwara South Leader Urges Stakeholders to Back Governor's Development Vision on Sixth Anniversary
Engineer Johnson Adewumi, Convener of the Kwara South Development Initiative, has urged stakeholders in Kwara State to collaborate with Governor Mallam AbdulRahman Abdulrasaq in advancing the state's development agenda, marking the governor's sixth anniversary in office.
In a statement released to commemorate the anniversary, Adewumi highlighted the administration's achievements across key sectors over the past six years. He called on public and private sector actors to support the governor's vision to unlock the state's full potential through sustained partnerships and collective action.
The convener specifically acknowledged progress in infrastructure, education, and healthcare, while emphasizing the need for continued collaboration to address lingering challenges and drive inclusive growth.
Adewumi who is also the proprietor and pro-chancellor of Thomas Adewumi University, Oko-Irese, specifically praised the governor for what he called "significant investments in educational infrastructure, teachers' training, and curriculum reforms which he said had led to improved literacy rates and increased access to quality education for our youth".
He also listed the healthcare advancements of the governor which according to him, included the expansion of healthcare facilities, provision of essential medical equipment, and enhanced health services which contributed to better health outcomes for residents".
"The administration's commitment to accountability and transparency has been evident through prudent management of resources and anti-corruption measures.
"Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's visionary leadership continues to inspire hope and confidence among the people of Kwara. His unwavering dedication to building a prosperous, inclusive, and resilient Kwara State has set a strong foundation for future generations.
"We call on all residents and stakeholders to support the ongoing efforts and collaborate towards realizing the full potential of our beloved state", the statement added.
