Kwara Governor Emphasises National Security in AI Development
According to a news report from Blueprint, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has issued a challenge to the newly inaugurated National Executive Committee of the Nigeria Foundation for Artificial Intelligence ( NFAI ), urging them to prioritise national security and the strengthening of humanity in their AI-related endeavours.
In a congratulatory message to the new executive committee members, particularly Mallam Taofik Abdulkareem, a Kwaran and chairman/CEO of Plat Technologies Limited, Governor AbdulRazaq stressed the importance of putting public interest and national security at the forefront of their agenda.
He called on all stakeholders to actively pursue a national consensus on internet governance and the ethical use of AI, with a particular focus on economic growth, trade, investment, and inclusivity, while always safeguarding national interests.
