They will host the Akure Gunners today at the Ilorin Township Stadium.

"We're prepared for Sunshine Stars with comprehensive victory uppermost on our minds.

"We were once atop of the league before we slipped, and we want to climb back to the top.

"I know Sunshine Stars will come out smoking especially after last week's barren draw at home against Enyimba.

"But I'm sure we'll have an easy game come Saturday," said Uweru, who has played second fiddle behind goalkeeper Kazeem Yekeen, this term.

The former Crown shotstopper said he is ready to take up the challenge to stop Sunshine Stars, if given the nod by the coach.

"I've trained very hard for the game, once the coach hands me a shirt, I will do my best to stop Sunshine.

"I am keenly looking forward to the start of the crucial game," he said.

Sunshine Stars have amassed an unimpressive 12 points from a possible 30 although with a match at hand to Lobi Stars.
