YEEGS: IVTEC graduates 400 trainees, distributes startup packs sponsored by Kwara Govt
No fewer than four hundred (400) trainees consisting of batches three and four have been awarded certificates of Technical and Entrepreneurship from International Vocational, Technical and Entrepreneurship College, IVTEC, Ajase-Ipo, Kwara State during her fourth graduation ceremony, held at the College premises.
While addressing the congregation, His Excellency, Mallam, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tertiary Education, Barrister Kikelomo Grillo assured that his administration would restore the hopes and aspirations of every individual, business and community.
He applauded Management and staff of the College for their commitment towards imparting required knowledge in the students.
Governor AbdulRazaq urged government officials, politicians and philanthropists to join hands with the state government in the fight against unemployment as he also reiterated the commitments of his administration to promote inclusive human capital development and investment.
In his welcome address, the Rector of the College, Engr. Yaru Saliu congratulated the students for scaling through the hurdles, and stated that the college has undoubtedly recorded many laudable successes through the help of the present administration of Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
While urging the graduands to make good use of the education attained in the college, Engr. Saliu however, noted that the institution is in need of more funding in order to sustain its growth and impact.
The ceremony featured activities such as presentation of empowerment startup packages to graduands in fulfilment of the Governor's promise to sponsor candidates across the 16 local government areas of the state and by private sponsors and others.
