Group lauds Tinubu on Bio Ibrahim's choice as minister of youths
Tasks new aide on galvanising for nation's growth The Kwara Unity Group (KUG) bloc in the state's All Progressives Congress (APC) has lauded the choice of Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim as the new Minister of Youths.
It said Ibrahim's choice was a well-thought decision by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The group noted that in view of her rich local and international experience in youth programming and development, which formed the core of her mandate when she was President of the Progressive Young Women Forum and Special Assistant to Kwara State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals, would enable her to perform in the new role.
In a statement by its State President, Malam AbiolaNosirudeen and State Secretary, Femi Aranloye, KUG said that with the strategic place youths occupy in the nation and Tinubu's determination to give them their rightful entitlement in his government, the decision is apt.
According to the group, what Nigerian youths could not get is what Tinubu is determined to make them access through the appointment of one of them as a minister, adding that Ibrahim would deploy, for effective delivery of her mandate, the passion of a medical doctor, the compassion of a woman and the energy of a youth, as well as her direct links with the youths who are her peers.
The group told the minister that the President had invested a high trust in her ability to mobilise the youths to play their roles in nation-building through different national youth platforms and programmes that would unfold from time to time.
It, however, expressed confidence in Ibrahim's ability and capacity to deliver, saying: “We always believe that more work is the reward for good work in a society desirous of growth.
